Suprina Thapa is a TV and online Presenter.
She is currently one of the Presenters on Unmuted, a Sky Arts music and culture show. The show has featured the likes of Big Zuu, Mo the Comedian, KSI and many more. Her TV debut was in December 2020 where she became the first Nepali Presenter on British Mainstream TV.
Her presenting journey started at university where she presented segments, debates and interviews for KTV at the University of Kent. Since graduating, she has utilised her interest in music, culture and current affairs to pursue a career in presenting.
In 2019, her passion for current affairs led her to gain a hosting role for a ViceUK podcast called Vent Weekly. Whilst working on this podcast, she interviewed Sadiq Khan, Chuckie and many more. She also presents a weekly radio talk-show on Chalkhill Community Radio where she discusses music and political stories. Her love for R&B music has got her featured on MistaJam’s BBC 1Xtra show.
Her presenting has made an appearance online too as she was aware of the lack of content there was for her Nepali community, therefore she curated her own series on Instagram called “Nepali Inspirations” which got attention from many Nepalese stars including Prabal Gurung.
Suprina is looking forward to establishing a name for herself in the presenting world and wishes to create an organisation, in the future, to help emerging talent in the media industry.
